The Apprentice Project (TAP) is a Great Place to WorkⓇ certified, for-impact organization. We are determined to transform government & low-income schools by offering holistic development for all children. 

Our vision is to revolutionize education by fostering 21st-century skills through innovative and inclusive learning experiences.


Our goal is to empower students from marginalized backgrounds in India. To achieve scale we use technology with AI and NLP-powered WhatsApp chatbot to build co-curricular electives to nurture creativity, self-confidence, and problem-solving abilities. 

Our flagship WhatsApp Chatbot, TAP Buddy, offers electives such as Visual and Performing Arts, Coding, STEM, and Financial Literacy.


Currently, TAP is impacting over 34,000 students across ten states in India. TAP students display a 2x improvement in creativity and a 74% improvement in self-confidence. In 2024-25, TAP aims to work with 100,000 students across multiple states through various government partnerships.

Role Summary

Location - Remote

Reporting to - Team Lead - Curriculum

Compensation - Rs. 5000 per month

Time Commitment - 25-30 hours per week


Key Job Areas

Translation and Content Review

  • Translate educational content for STEM, Visual Arts, and Financial Literacy, quiz questions, lesson plans, Curriculum Documents, documents, and materials from English to Marathi.
  • Ensure translations are accurate and contextually appropriate.
  • A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar.


Skills

  • Language Proficiency: Must have proficiency in reading, writing, and translating Marathi.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Strong command of spelling and grammar in Marathi.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality translations. Strong proofreading and editing skills for translated content.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and understand project requirements.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets and other basic MS tools.
  • Proficiency in AI tools like ChatGPT, etc. 
  • Previous experience in translation or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus but not mandatory.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM/engineering or a related field.
  • Prior experience in translation or bilingual content creation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong command of Marathi and English languages.
